I live in Monroe and went to the jazz festival Saturday. A lot of people were having a good time! And it's an easy outing on a family budget. While there is festival food on site for sale, visitors are permitted to bring coolers and there was even a designated area for small charcoal grills.

Monroe is such a pretty city and a perfect place for festivals. It really sounds like they had it set up nicely for families. I can imagine how nice it was to be on the river listening to music!
