August 22 - September 1 Detroit, MI: Michigan State Fair returns to Detroit this week. Gates are open daily 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 3 - 12, $5 for seniors and free for kids 2 and under. Parking is $7. Ride wristbands are $15 weekdays and $25 weekends. Check out the official website for scheduled events, concerts and details. The fair is located at Woodward Ave. and 8 Mile Rd.
August 22 & 23 Detroit, MI: The Redford Theatre presents a showing of the Sherlock Holmes mystery The Scarlet Claw. Check out the classic 1944 black & white film along with the Warner cartoon classic Rabbit Transit. This is sure to be fun for everyone! August 22, 25 & 26 Canton, MI: Pump it Up of Canton presents a Pop-In Playtime. Come bounce, slide, and jump on their selection of inflatables Monday 10 a.m. - noon, Tuesday 4 - 6 p.m. and Friday 7 - 9 p.m. Admission is $7 per child. August 22 - 24 Mt. Clemens, MI: Enjoy Mt. Clemens' Bath City Festival this weekend. The festival run 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Sunday and showcases Mt. Clemens rich mineral bath history as well as its role in the area's development. The festival will feature historical displays, an "antiques road show" style, live demonstrations, arts & crafts, antique fire trucks, auctions, carnival midway, children's area, petting farm, vintage fashion show, live entertainment on four stages, fireworks, and much more.
