| Events for April 5 & 6, 2008 |
There are a couple of big events happening this weekend in Metro Detroit.
First we have the American Baby Faire at the Rock Financial Showplace in Novi, MI on April 5-6, 2008. Check it out for free samples, coupons, discounts on products, information from experts and more. It's open 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Sunday. Addmission is $8 for adults with grandparents and children under 12 free. Local Babies R Us stores have $3 off admission coupons so be sure to pick one up before heading to the show.
Next check out Bookstock! This is a huge used book sale being held at Livonia's Laurel Park Place to raise money for literacy programs. It runs April 6-13, 2008. The sale starts at noon on the 6th and closes at 6 p.m. The hours are 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. the rest of the week (Monday thru Saturday). Admission is free! You can also take advantage of a special pre-sale from 8:45 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. on Sunday, admission $10. Or, to save even more money, visit on the last day (April 13) when all books will be half off!

| Metro Parent Model Search |
Do you think your little cutie is the next big thing? If so Metro Parent wants to see them. The magazine is holding its annual model search on April 5 & 6, 2008 at Oakland Mall. Bingham Farms talent agency will be on hand looking for kids to sign, too. Registration is $30 and kids get a tee-shirt, photo and family fun pack. Register in advance to avoid waiting in lines. This week is a great time to print out some coupons from Gerber and take them with you to Target. When you use your coupons on selected sale items you save over 50%!
